Figural Etched Glass Panel "Adam and Eve"

$ 2,000.00

This glass panel was an auction purchase that came from a back-bar in a Westchester County, N.Y. household. The bar or speakeasy was in a large basement of a house in an upscale neighborhood. There were tunnels or passageways connecting this bar with other households in the area. So there were not only a variety of ways out, but also a variety of ways in. This etched panel is quite dramatic and symbolic of breaking the drinking taboo. Although the glass panel is 72"H, the etching starts at 23" from the floor. The glass can be trimmed on all sides.  Made in the United States circa 1920.  Condtion:  Good.  72"H x 30"W x 1.5"D
